Amanda & Ben | Tumut Wedding

My first wedding back for 2022, and it was SO good (despite it raining 99% of the day!!). Like most couples, Amanda and Ben had rescheduled their wedding from last year because of Covid, and even though it rained most of the day, the vibe was amazing and they were just soo keen to get married and have a party! Don’t blame them, really!

They started the day in Adelong at Amanda’s family home, with the girls getting ready. I aways try and find the prettiest, most flattering light that’s available, and that day, it was out the front in front of the garage door!!! (who would have thought)!! I’m so glad I did this because the photos here are some of my favourite!! (you’ll see…)

Their wedding ceremony and reception was on Ben’s family property, 10 minutes outside of Tumut at Lacmalac… with the most EPIC views! It was so lovely to meet everyone, see families get together and have next to zero restrictions for their day! #finally! By the time I got to the location, it was pouring rain! After a bit of a “ahh what should we do” they decided to go ahead with their ceremony outside and I’m so glad they did because it eased off slightly and they were able to have the prettiest ceremony outside, with the most gorgeous view of the Tumut valley and river!!

We blitzed through the bridal portraits in 15 minutes or so, before the rain settled in, it darkened up early and it poured rain all evening (don’t think anyone cared!). Their low key reception was so relaxed, with music, food and no formalities (becoming more and more popular) , they could just enjoy their well earned party!

Thank you so much Amanda and Ben (and family) for trusting me on this wild and wet day, with the crazy ideas and “trust me, this will work” times a million all day, you did it – you’re married! Congrats again, and enjoy this little highlight of their day together!

Enjoy xx
