You know what, the longer I’m in the wedding industry, and the more couples I photograph, the more I realise I lean towards people who are there for the “marriage”, not just the “wedding”. There’s a BIG difference between the two, and Kat and Robert were 100% there for each other and their commitment to being married.
Kat and Robert actually booked me in for their wedding pre-Covid, during the bushfire season of 2019/2020, more than 18 months out from their day. When I asked why they picked this date in September, Robert said “I don’t know, it just looked good in the calendar” and I LOVE THAT #dowhateveryouwant
I had so much fun with these two, I admire their commitment to being authentic, for their resilience during Covid, and for their courage to be true to themselves the entire day. Thank you, Kat and Robert, for trusting me to photograph this day for you, I know we’ll get the party and dance floor fun when we can! PS, spot the photos down below, Robert is a brewer at the local Tumut River Brewing Co, and they made a special limited edition beer to celebrate their wedding day (can confirm, tastes delicious) #couplegoals
