Note to self, spend more time blogging all the beautiful images you spend so much time and energy into creating.
Check.
No, but seriously, I love this family and I think this was the 6th or 7th time I’ve photographed for them in the past 4 years. Isn’t that amazing?!
I know I say this a lot, but I seriously am so lucky.
However lately, my mind immediately jumps to 15 years down the track, (or more sometimes) when these kids are grown up, into their teenage years, maybe having kids of their own. And they remember me as Roslyn the photographer In Tumut. Like I’m an old family friend, or just that “lady/girl” who’s always there in town to capture our photos?!
Family photographs are so much more than just pretty pictures for Instagram and Facebook.
You’re leaving a legacy behind. Think about that for a minute (and I have my own place as a piece to this puzzle as well)
These pictures will be passed down for GENERATIONS. Think about your great-great-grandchildren looking at these together? “Wow, look at my Mum when she was a little girl!” “Oh that’s my Aunty, wasn’t she so beautiful?!”
THIS is why I love what I do. It’s not always about my clients in the moment, my mind is always racing into the future. On that note, don’t forget to print your photos. Albums are incredible, frames on the walls are amazing. Get these into the hands of your children. Trust me on this one.
Enjoy xx
