I know I say it all the time, but I truly do get to photograph the sweetest, funnest families!  This is the second time i’ve taken their family portraits and these two boys are so adventurous and wild (it’s a good thing), it was next to impossible to get them to stand still. Sure… the standard “smile at the camera” photos are important, but the playful, in between moments are honestly my favourite. My approach to family sessions (especially with littler kids) is “play based”. Which basically means I let the kids run around, play in the grass, throw rocks and wave sticks around. It allows the kids to be themselves and they feel so much more comfortable when i’m following them around with a camera! Plus, half the time they forget i’m even there because they’re having so much fun!
